141. Much Marcle Yew
Famous and ancient, this English yew positively encourages you to experience it.
The Much Marcle Hollow Yew is a very old tree with an immense trunk. It is hollow, and a wooden bench placed within the trunk itself invites visitors to experience this living cavern. It has been celebrated for centuries, and a scaffold of iron pillars and connecting planks surrounds the tree in an attempt to lift the canopy and aid inspection.
