93. Forty Hall Cedar
One of the most spectacular, and oldest cedars of Lebanon anywhere in Britain or Ireland can be seen on the edge of London.
Some claim the Forty Hall Cedar, planted by an early horticulturist, Robert Uvedale, who died at Enfield in 1722, is the ‘second oldest in the country’. This may or may not be true, but it is certainly one of the most impressive cedars of Lebanon anywhere, its picturesque form set off by its location in front of historic Forty Hall.
